The world needs another social networking site like I need…

A comment I whipped off on Lee's Fast Company social network post, got me thinking: What other social network do I (we) really need?
I've got Flickr for photos, Youtube for video (even though I don't actively use it), LinkedIn for business contacts, Facebook for personal contacts, Myspace for, well, because I do music photography (yep, it's all pervs and music), del.icio.us for bookmarks, Twitter for quick communication, and Tumblr to bring it all together.
What else could I possibly need? Why would I join any other social network? What's the next true innovation? And no, whatever niche social network that pops up next ("THE social networking site for ferret-loving snowmobilers!") does not count.
With all the sites out there, the one thing I really need is a service that lets me monitor and update all of my profiles from one place. Hmmm...

Nicholas, I agree that there are way too many social networks that are just about “social” to keep up with.
I think what the social networking technology offers for B2B businesses is a forum to connect with their customers and prospect. Some studies indicate that creating a closed community with members already associated with your company (beta testers, customers) is more helpful than creating an open community where the backgrounds of the members may be too diverse.
If companies can create a destination site, where they educate and inform individuals dealing with similar issues then it will be seen as more than just another social network. It will be a useful network that happens to be social.
