Is your web site just a sandwich board?

Here's an interesting analogy based on a conversation I had with a colleague this morning about the web (at least we thought it was)...

If the only presence you have on the web is your corporate marketing site, it's the equivalent of having a sandwich board outside your office telling people what you do.

It's passive.  It's only in one location.  And, your prospect has to drive by it to see it.
