Good People Day 2008
April 3, 2008 | Posted by: Nicholas
People might call it a movement. And folks, that's what it is.
Arlo Guthrie, Alice's Restaurant
The irrepressible Gary Vaynerchuk is starting a movement, The Good People movement, to recognize all the good people that all this new social media stuff has brought together. This is what community is all about, I think, and I'm joining in.
So, in honor of Good People Day, I'm going to send out some link love to all of you that my new favorite social platform, Twitter, has brought into my life in one way or another. Thank you to Gary, and thank you to you all.
So, in no particular order:
- Jimmy Gardner
- Andrew Wright
- Ann Handley
- Jessie Newburn
- Meg Fowler
- Matthew Kemph
- Ryan Spahn
- Ann Bernard
- D. Keith Casey
- Aaron Brazell
- Jason Rosenbaum
- Geoff Livingston
- Rana Sobhany
- DC Concierge
- Stephen Fisher
- Frank Martin
Thanks to you all. All Good People!
Finally, here's Gary's call to action video:

You know, Gary’s breathless delivery never fails to crack me up. I’m always worried he’s going to turn blue and fall over.
But anyway… THANKS Nicholas! You are one of my GPs, too.

Thanks, Ann! This is the 2008 version of a love-in, I guess. :)
I love Gary’s delivery, too, precisely because I know it’s real. He’s saying what’s on his mind - it’s obvious there is no script. And I think that’s what’s missing sometimes from the internet and social networks: authenticity. Gary brings that by the ton!
