Design is not about the product.

For many, design is about the end-product. But it could easily be argued that design is (should be!) about the user, er, person using the product. David Kelley agrees with me in his talk (yeah, given in 2002 but it will be just as relevant in 2020, I think) about human-centered design.

(Yeah, I’m addicted to the TED site. So what? I’ll bring it all back around; trust me.)
